Before Pharaon became ruler of Egrium, each king and queen of the region was called a pharaoh. Afterward, Pharaon referred to only one leader of this desert land. However, Pharaon wasn't born a legend. He could have simply become any other king of Egrium, his birthright handed to him on a silver platter. But when Pharaon just a boy, his father was betrayed by his own brother. Pharaon's uncle took the king's sacred crypto gem, and used its power to amass a fortune Meanwhile, Pharaon's childhood meant trying to lead a region ripped apart by an assassinated leader. He didn't yet have the power or strength to stop his uncle from ravaging Egrium for everything of value, from gold and silver to weapons and armor. And all the while, the people of Egrium blamed the young boy's failure to do something about it. So Pharaon handed over leadership to his mother, who did what she could to make the most of what the people could keep from his brother-in-law. And Pharaon trained around Crypta. He consulted from the monks of Pluj Swos, learned from the dragons of Loclord, faced his fear of water with the bravest of Caspa, and harnessed the magic of crypto with the Wecleorians. When he finally returned to Egrium, his uncle had built a massive pyramid fortress to protect every scrap of his fortune. Small armies were placed at every entrance, and even more lined every hallway leading to his uncle's keep. And Pharaon defeated them all, one by one, until he reached his uncle, who tried to use the crypto that belonged to his father. But Pharaon's newfound powers meant the crystal knew who it belonged to, backfiring on Pharaon's uncle and shooting into Pharaon's hand. His uncle defeated, Pharaon emptied every chamber of the treasures that belonged to the people of Egrium, returning the region to prosperity. He then ruled for longer than any other before him, loved by the people and respected by rivals. When it was time for him to step down, he returned to the pyramid fortress his uncle had built. He laid down in its deepest chamber. And used the power of his father's crypto crystal to rest until the day Egriuim needs him again. Then the Centrized arrived. And he wasn't summoned to just save Egrium. He returned to help save all of Crypta.
